Watching the paint dry is more exciting than this place! I booked 5 days in Vienna and had the bright idea of going to Bratislava, Slovakia for 2.5 days. It was a short 1-hour bus ride away and I thought I could take both countries in, see something new and add to my country count (Slovakia was country #52)

I spent 2.5 days in Bratislava, that was 2.4 days too many! I took more pics of my ‘Resting Sym Face’ than I did of anything, or anywhere else.

I promise that I mean no disrespect to Slovaks, but your capital city is boring as hell. Unlike other European cities, there’s literally nothing worth seeing, other than your castle. Even then, I couldn’t even bring myself to enter, instead, I took one pic of it from the outside.

I want to believe that the country has much more to offer, but this was one of my more dreadful trips and I won’t be giving a second chance at redemption. The best part of this trip was my hotel bar! My advice on Bratislava… Don’t go to Bratislava, unless you plan on adding to your country count.
